Until @Jarobi 's sandbox mission, there weren't any missions that had direct self reference to an earlier puzzle. This led to some confusion for me, as I didn't put together that is what the intention was.

Though I can think of a few ways to process the following, I don't know how difficult it would be to render. I am thinking along the lines of the following:

Puzzles may have prerequisite puzzles. Jarobi pt 2 would 'require' pt 1 to be complete.
This could be represented on the sphere as a connection along the edges of the prism.
If it is a hard requirement, the connection could be a darker color that looks "disabled". part 2 would be locked or not visible until part 1 is done.
If it was a soft requirement or if part 1 is done, the connection could look like a glowing connection between part one and two.

Hard requirements could create the idea that some things simply cannot be done out of order. (Reasonably speaking, if we didn't know Richmond was the next area then how would we know where to send the priest's supplies? Sending the supplies THEN finding out where seems counter-intuitive).

    An example mission could be:
    "Mission 42 "

    Puzzle 1:
Find the next city the killer may target

    Puzzle 2:
    Hard requirement: Puzzle 1, hidden
We have found a likely victim on the missing persons list, locate the most likely place the killer would bring the victim.

    Puzzle 3:
    Identify the killer

That way P1 and P3 could be done in any order, to the benefit of one, another, or neither. However, because Puzzle 2 would involve more specific street maps and could easily spoil P1 it's neatly hidden. Especially considering that P1 & P2 would be weird to do in reverse.

Thank you for the above @Catalyst. I designed my sandbox mission to test the soft requirement approach, but this may lead to confusion for many. A hard requirement style will not only be simpler for agents, it will also, as you said, work better for the narrative of certain missions.

I think it's been talked about, but I don't see it written here: I think an agent should retain 'senior agent' status in a CFH even if they have reset mission progress. At the moment, one becomes a collaborator upon resetting progress.

I remember the second thing I wanted to mention:
You should be able to see the completed missions, puzzles, and solution that you gave. If I didn't remember the answer to part 1, I would have had to ask someone else. (Basically, I'd like to be able to reference completed missions.)

    Beta 3.04:
    • When party leader leaves the group, the message shown is [Group has been dissolved], but it isn't.
    • Party leader status does not change to another player.
    • Branwen was showing [OFFLINE] status as party leader when she was online.
    • Resetting progress on a mission locks the next mission (even if it has been completed)

    Beta 3.0.4:
    • After adding a new mission to Anashel's Sanbox subset, Jarobi's mission is locked again but the community missions are not.
    • Last community mission was selected when logging out, and now shows 100% complete, though still locked. Remains this way after re-logging.
    • Fields do not resize with screen resolution. At lower resolutions(1024x768 on a 23" monitor set to 1080x1920) you can't see the left side of the code entry box to determine how many characters to use and at even lower resolution (800x600 on a 23" monitor set to 1080x1920) the open in web browser field is inaccessible. At the lowest resolution, it is no longer possible to see the Log In button at start up.

Thank you ll for the feedbacks on the bug! Much much appreciated.

For the resolution screen, we don't control unity list of resolution but we plan to support 1280 x 720 and up.

about the community missions - i assume they're ordered in order of when they were uploaded, but until another bunch is added would it make sense to have them ordered by difficulty level? because i feel like having nikel's second and the rest locked means that i may never complete the final three

Yes your right, we can re-order them base on the difficulty level.

You want me to put nikel mission as the last one?

that would be great! given that the difficulty level is "hero" i think so - it would make sense to be able to work up to it?

Was playing around on a tablet and the "mission sphere" just shows as purple. Guess it's not the best graphics on this tablet, but what software creates the sphere's graphics?

I get the same thing on my laptop when I use the Intel integrated card. When I switch to the more powerful GPU I see the sphere as normal. I assumed that it was pixel shader 3.0 which the Intel graphics aren't compatible with, so I never submitted the bug report

Ah ok, was just curious. Might have a bit more of a play and see if I can get it working but won't worry too much then :)

Oh that's interesting. The sphere on the mac use a different shader because it was purple. I didn't knew this was happening also on som PC. Maybe we can auto-detect this and switch to the other texture.

On a related note, it would be nice if there were an option in Audio Settings for videos. Hitting the check boxes to mute both Sound FX and Music has no impact at all on the briefings or opening video. Having volume sliders for all three would be better still.

(and have I asked recently for the opening video to be skippable? I have? oh... how about remembering login info? oh, that too? never mind, then)

I have a note about sound design.
Currently, the "wrong code" message is associated with the same sound as "Could not resolve host: cms.black" or "could not connect to host", which can be very problematic if one is playing on a connection that is a bit unstable or slow (Australia/NZ). I have encountered a number of problems relating to this, where an answer I tried and moved on from, as I got the "wrong" sound, was actually correct - and there were simply connectivity errors.

Hi @Scryvenyr! You mean that there is a delay between the sound an the confirmation, delay long enough for you to try another answer and therefore get the right answer with the wrong (delay) sound?

Is there any way I can change my password on the client? I don't seem to be able to type it in to the game's liking today.

I mean that if one is having connectivity errors and it cannot connect to the CMS, the error sound is exactly the same as that of the "wrong answer" sound. I typed in what I believed was the answer, got the error sound, moved on - and then later on was advised to try the exact answer again for one of the missions - which turned out to be correct.

The sound of connectivity error needs to be different than a wrong answer sound.

Bug, not sure how to reproduce:

I had reset Jarobi 1, and I wanted to do Jarobi 2. Upon completing Jarobi 1 again, Jarobi 2 was listed as 100% completed in my client even though I never opened it. Reset and functioning as normal.
