We have tested the alpha countless times, but now it's time to move to the Beta stage. As these things go, there may be a few glitches. Or maybe you think a feature is lacking. Either way, we want to hear from you. WARNING: All Alpha Accounts have been reset. You will have to create a new account. Please post all bug or features request here! For questions about the mission, visit the Mission Thread here: http://forums.blackwatchmen.com/index.php?forums/ongoing-missions.17/
Flipping between the mission and the group chat/journal is tiring. Also I feel like there should be a way to "catalog" the Agent Map missions into our Dashboard/History/etc. so we don't have to keep searching for it. Otherwise it's pretty squeaky clean.
One idea from fred was to bring the journal as a popup like the setting window. That way you keep it in all interface.
Well I am at part 2. Gather Intel was super logical. Pattern Recognition Spoiler distracted me by having the case numbers be 5-digits long and asking me to find a related case, which caused me to assume I had to find a logical connection and enter a case number.
I noticed that the mission sphere likes to go on its own adventure during the briefing. I watched the briefing a couple of times and the missions were all on the other side of the sphere! Maybe it can spin a little bit more slowly? Other than that, there are two things I would like to see: 1) Return key bringing up the next page (i.e. briefing after mission complete) 2) Clicking outside an image pop-up to close it, instead of having to click the tiny 'exit' button in the corner.
when i try to launch it, it says "There should be 'The Black Watchmen-beta-3.0.3_Data' folder next to the executable" probem is... i tried launching it inthe folder with the mini beta data in it.
I noticed you can spin the sphere yourself by clicking and dragging it, not sure if it helps, but it's certainly a workaround. Other than that, I noticed that my location is not proper on the map, there's no blue dot in Nova Scotia, and my location put's me closer to Toronto I think, maybe state side even.
My only issue thus far is that on the agent location screen, it says that i'm in the Midwest when i'm ctualy in Fort Gordon GA.
My only issue thus far is that it is date night and my husband says I can only download beta but not start anything till after his weekly mandated romance has concluded. Have to dine, sip wine and win The Art of Science board game timely. This is worse than Christmas eve!
Had a call for help under the mission symbol. had to click right on the edge of the call for help to access it even after removing the mission symbol from the map. My journal has a tendancy to bounce slightly and I have to keep scrolling fully to the bottom, yet a coupe of times when scrolling up it bounced back to the bottom its self. Spinning mission globe I am not sure I am convinced by. Think I preferred when it was stationary in the alpha.
On the right side of the map you have a legend. It's clickable and act as filter so you can show only Call for help icon. =)
I tried that and it still brought up the rupture site mission, even after removing all symbols except call for help I will try and retest if the agent there does another call for help.
Loading times of debriefing videos seem to be a bit long. Often had plenty of time to navigate to another menu before it finally finished loading. On a side-note, those briefings are making me all nostalgic - good ol' Westwood Command & Conquer style. ^^
I think more buffer might fix it, downloading with low bandwidth makes the video seize up & stutter & skip. After clicking "repeat" they mostly clean up on the third or fourth showing.
I'm seeing the video jitters too. Not sure if this is intentional so I'll spoiler it: Spoiler: Typo So far the only issue I've run into is a typo on the call report for the first body. The text says "Blackfish Bond", but it should have read "Blackfish Pond" Loving it so far.
Not surprising, as military/government organisations (and a few others) tend to reroute their connections. Think of it as a VPN, with accesses rerouted in Midwest. Nb: Check where a site like http://en.utrace.de/ finds you.
I have trouble finding the right from for the ICOE contact :/ the answer is obvious but nothing works so far Edit : Found it, sweeeeet *o*
