We need details on this to avoid write huge hoax on the RP forums.
What does still exist in the universe we play, according to the TSW lore and what basic info do we have as a start, what can we keep as acquired data ?

Edit : I didn't want to post it at first but we can't go anywhere without at least a confirmation of some vital points.

@Anashel could we at a minimum get a timeline of like... I don't know... the last decade? Just the highlights really.

None of TSW related events has happen in our world so far. The only link we have is the situation room and the black watchmen, but the background story are part of the game so any reveal from our side will be spoiler.

Sorry If I can't give more data on that. Any link will be approved both by us and Funcom before being integrated in the storyline.

So we can use the thing of {since the end of mayan cycle, the so called apocalypse, everything changed and we have been recruited by the black watchmen}, that's a data like another, maybe there's even a link between that date, the new mayan calendar and the (eruption?) of the rupture sites.

Well, one link to what we do know (Ruptures), could be that Terence McKenna was at least partially right with his Novelty (or Timewave Zero) theory, which postulated that time tends towards "novelty", and that:

"[...] on December 21, 2012 we would have been in the unique position in time where maximum novelty should have been experienced. An event [..] with everything flowing together. [...] It will be the entry of our species into 'hyperspace', but it will appear to be the end of physical laws, accompanied by the release of the mind into the imagination."

Which, all in all, doesn't sound like that different of an outcome as timelines beginning to merge, and a relative displacement of reality, which would be what we do know has occured - albeit tentatively.
