The Black Watchmen is coming to PAX East! The development team will be heading to Boston next weekend to showcase the game. Come say hello and take a crack at the puzzles we have lined up. We will be at PAX from March 6th through the 8th. More info here.
I've always missed PAX East by 1 week since my vacations never lined up. Now's the first time I'm actually sad about it :< Is anyone here going to represent us?
Bit cold & snowy for me. I'm hibernating until summer. -Bats (yes, bats do hibernate. we took lessons from bears)
$300 USD for a 3-day pass is a bit expensive for my tastes. I'd rather spend the $300 on a train or plane to an event my multipass will be good for.
Sadly I won't be able to attend as I'm "on a a mission" here in the UK and the budget does not allow for extracurricular activities Still I'm looking forward to seeing the fun and game.
Ana! Idea. Send people here to the Forum and IRC using QR codes and shortened URLs to help them poke through the puzzles or sign up and say hi. But especially the IRC because we love people and it would help us establish more users. ouo
Totally not intending to use them as spies to see what is going on in the booth. Yup. Definitely no spies.
That would actually be a great idea if we can get enough of "us" to participate during the event. Turn the tables and have us requesting visitors at PAX investigate things near the TBW booth that've been set up to look non-intentional from the Devs side? Just a quick brain-fart induced example: Visitor joins IRC, says hi. We ask if the person is at PAX, they say yes - we mention we've discovered the password to the "Dev PC" at the stand, and ask if they can help us retrieve some "Suspicious Files"™, but that we don't know what possible redundancy systems the Dev PC might have in place. You being good Devs are all busy talking to interested visitors, so plenty of opportunity for the guest to "sneak" to the obvious Dev PC, log in, and encounter the puzzle - which we can then help them with. They solve the mission, we notify you (somehow), and you approach the visitor as if they've been discovered, looking sternly at them, before congratulating them and handing them a Multipass and a hearty "Welcome to the Black Watchmen". (Then again, my mind might very well be too exhausted to produce anything feasible - in which case, my apologies for the rant.)
