So some of us in the IRC have observed a curious little phenomenon:

Ever since 10:09 on Dec 31, 2014, the Division66 account (run by @Anashel ) in the semi-official, officially-recognized #Division66 IRC room has been logging in and out of the room.

More specifically:

1. The account logs in.
2. It idles for about 2 minutes, with a few seconds' deviation.
3. It logs out.
4. About 109 minutes later, again with a few seconds' deviation, it logs back in.

Now, the numbers we are potentially looking at here are 109 - times between logins - and 107 - time between login/logout activity.

There are several theories to this. One is that this regular login and logout cycle is giving us a small opportunity to put in some kind of password or keyword.

109 or 107 could have some plot significance. Specifically, 109 is a chain in Japan, and TBW is reaching out to Japanese agents to see if they need to do winter shopping.

Anashel got abducted by Whitechapel and is waiting for us to notice that his account is being odd.

Finally, this message was honestly posted to bring awareness to a potential possibility that Anashel left his client up at the office or something, I dunno. That's my theory and why it's in Off-Topic. If this is official, go ahead and move it.

 

Also this is the IRC link, all people should come in and grasp at straws with us.

Please help, we're like drowning in straws. We can't even hold all these straws.

Just a remark: 107 seconds are rather Variable while 109 minutes are exact. Reason for variability is still unknown.

Computational latency?

 

This time seems to be 2 minutes and 12 seconds every time.

We're making a list of potential "keywords" to yell at Division66 on the IRC chat room.

...so the other possibility is the date 1/09, which is a week from today.

Update: Whenever we try spamming Div66 with potential codewords, appearancr is more than two minutes. Otherwise div66 quits after 1min 42-49seconds. For me this seems to be a reaction to the texting. Does this make the codeword scan scenario more likely? Perhaps...
