This is such a cliche question, but I'm genuinely curious. If you were to go to Hogwarts, which house would you most likely be sorted into? More than people think, Hogwarts houses are an interesting meter of people's characters. Quick rundown of what these houses are really about: Gryffindor - The means and the ends are equal - and just, according to their own ethic. Bold and courageous, yet still corruptible in ways, they easily embrace pride and heroism. Slytherin - The ends are important... It doesn't matter how they get there. They share the boldness of the Gryffindor house, but as long as they remain loyal to their own kin; they actively pursue power and greatness. No, they're not evil, more so willing to do just about anything to get what they want. Ravenclaw - Open-mindedness, witty, and curious, they reach for greatness through intelligence and wisdom above all - often demonstrating it in unique ways. (Though their grades are also pretty important; they're often pretty cunning and competitive.) Hufflepuff - It was actually made as a reminder that children can't always be "sorted;" however, they do have traits associated with them. For the most part, they value loyalty and trustworthiness, as well as a good work ethic. They're ridiculously protective. It'd be interesting to look back, too, and see what TBW classes people from different "houses" are sorted into. There are two ways to test: Pottermore is the official quiz, created in collaboration with the author of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling. (If you do this one, I'm curious about your wand as well. ) This quiz is also pretty good. It's not official, and it's pretty easy to bullshit your way through it to get the result you want. But if you're honest, it's good. (P.S. If you actively bullshit your way through the quiz to get what you want, there is a very, very high chance you're a Slytherin.) I'm personally a Gryffindor.
According to the second test, which I did take seriously, I was placed in Ravenclaw with a 70% match (Hufflepuff 52% - Slytherin 40% - Gryffindor 30%). But according to the Pottermore test, I was placed in Gryffindor.
Totally Slytherin as well. Edit: The quiz disagreed with me and put me in gryffindor. That just happened...
Yours is suited to someone who is passionate about something in particular; once you gain its loyalty, it'll have a ridiculously unique "fingerprint" that will make it nearly impossible for others to even touch. It's the equivalent of having a customized gaming computer set up, with ridiculous keybinds and everything.
Just realized I never posted here. Gryffindor with a "Red oak with phoenix feather core, 14.5 inches, slightly yielding" wand
Pottermore -> House: Slytherin, Wand: 12.75 in length, Apple wood, Dragon core, Rigid Spoiler: Wand Apple Applewood wands are not made in great numbers. They are powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark magic. It is said that the possessor of an apple wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and I have often noticed that customers of great personal charm find their perfect match in an applewood wand. An unusual ability to converse with other magical beings in their native tongues is often found among apple wand owners, who include the celebrated author of Merpeople: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Language and Customs, Dylan Marwood. Dragon As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental. Quiz -> House: Slytherin, in-depth results: Slytherin - 15, Ravenclaw - 11, Gryffindor - 11, Hufflepuff - 6 I think I may be a Slytherin
Ooh, nice wand. (heh) You're probably eccentric, idealistic and dedicated and powerful in what you do, and attractive to others with those traits.
Well, acording to the second test, , which I did take seriously - Your in-depth results are: Gryffindor - 11 Hufflepuff - 11 Ravenclaw - 10 Slytherin - 10
thanks mate for the explanation ... now I know I'm the only one who can touch my wand ^^ (excuse my french ^^)
How the hell did I end up with those goody two shoes (a phrase I've never entirely understood) Gryffindor - 15 Hufflepuff - 11 Ravenclaw - 11 Slytherin - 9
Got sorted into Slytherin at the Pottermore site. Got a Pear Wood with Unicorn Core 13 3/4th inches long which is surprisingly swishy.
Basically you're a really charismatic, nice person. Your wand is swishy but it probably stays with you because you're nice enough to keep it around. But being a Slytherin, you probably use that to your advantage. You're a hell of a ladder-climber.
gryffindor Cedar, Unicorn Tail Hair, 11 1/2", Supple wand is something i came up with through careful contemplation of the wand woods and cores. house, i've kinda always been gryffindor, with slight hufflepuff influence as well. tested gryffindor on pottermore, so im not all that surprised.
