I'm missing official posts or some words regarding the state of the game or something like that. I know you guys are working hard to get it done after kickstarter campains succeeds but a few words here and there would be much appreciated. ;-)
Silence usually means the Devs are hard at work. Something like TSW's Letter of the Month would be great though.
I suspect things are going to be on the quiet side for a while to come. Alice & Smith is a (very) small company with a focus and skill set largely in the virtual realm, that has to suddenly pivot to deal with the production and shipping of what're essentially a wide variety of custom products, while more-or-less simultaneously firing up full-scale development of the ARG.... so they're probably a little busier than usual at HQ. Either that, or when Anasel was spotted catching a cab to the airport last week with a large duffel bag overflowing with cash it wasn't actually for a meeting about t-shirt printing like he claimed. That being said, I agree with TCO. I've always thought TSW's monthly Game Director Letters were a great idea, and, while a lot of A&S's work necessarily has to be rather secretive, I'd love to see a similar practice for TBW - a regularly scheduled post or video talking broadly about what's going on at A&S and what sots of projects they have been/will be working on. -Bats
That money was actually all for printing $$$ signs on each bag for future money carrying endeavors. And I agree with above sentiments. As an added bonus, occasional updates via kickstarter will remind backers that we exist.
Hi guys! You can expect weekly update but right now I am in Turkey with Nathalie (A&S President) for another week. As soon as we come back, we will update you with all that is going on!! Thank you for yout patience!
"Nathalie" is code for "A big sack stuffed full of cash". -Bats (and watch out for those Turkish prisons... I hear they're fond of movies about gladiators)
*imagines a 'weekend at bernies' scenario with Nathalie's corpse and a sack of cash.* [my wife can't figure out what I'm laughing at and if I told her I'd be looking for an apartment tomorrow.]
Hiding in the bathroom from Nathalie so I can give you a quick update: we built our first Alpha 1.00 and it worked both on Mac and PC. That included animated situation room, video playback, server side login, back end connection using Photon Server and json call with a web services!
