I have been experimenting with various natural LD aids recently, and I have come up with what I believe to be a good mixture. I mix three drops of golden root tincture in a glass of purified water, and then take a mix of powdered ginkgo biloba and damiana, mixed with fresh watermelon juice. I take this at about 4pm each day, and I have been very pleased with the effects.

The goldenroot and ginkgo help my memory.

    The damiana is oneirogenic.

Combined they all me to be much more lucid, and when I am not able to achieve full lucidity, I can remember my dreams much more easily and record them more completely in my journal.

What are some LD aids you guys use?

That sounds like an interesting concoction! I have experimented with many different aids, for a long time I took melatonin nightly, which helped.

Recently, I have been making a tea with thepelakano leaves (plus some agave, since it is so bitter) which works very. However, I know it can be hard to get for some people.

When i was trying to lucid dreaming i was more focused in trying to get the lucid dream than remember it.

I didnt used any natural aids, you really feel the difference?

What i do to get the lucid state its use reality checks specially the clock one.
I have a casio telememo 30 which it have both analog and digital time, and if i see it the analog goes backwards, i usually get lucid.
    EDIT:
Side note i usually move a lot when i sleep, so i avoid the "avoid breathing" method, bc i may do it for real(lol)

ZoryaV, I used melatonin for a while too.

raul_ct - yes, you feel a difference. These herbs and methods have been used for thousands of years to help people get further in their dreams. They help prepare your mind for the journey it is about to take. I also use either a watch, or the Castaneda Technique (AKA look at your hands) to get me lucid once I am dreaming.

isnt Castaneda supposed to stabilise your world, instead of being used as a RC. unless you've got a tattoo/drawing on your hand.

I have been doing it for years, it works well for me. I catch myself doing it throughout the day too, out of habit.

Silene Capensis and Mugwort work best for me. Also, you can try Lucidimine - don't take too little but don't take too much. Take 5-HTP and Vitamin B6 daily.

Hey everyone, I've recently joined as a mod for these forums because there has been a recent influx of members/activity. It's exciting, but at the same time that means we've had to review the content of the forums. We'd like for this place to focus more on the techniques and meaning of lucid dreaming, not specific natural aids. I'll be posting our new guidelines for these forums today and will be locking this thread for now.

Sorry, didn’t mean to go off on a tangent. I have posted similar stuff on other lucid dreaming forums, thought I would do the same here. My bad, I am happy to follow the guidelines. :)
