So, yesterday a friend of mine was willing to lay down the cash for the full game and as an added bonus, my computer can finally run it without any real game-breaking issues. There is one small problem. The globe in the mission hub is purple. Like, a bright-ish purple. Nothing game-breaking, just an aesthetic issue that is a bit of an eyesore. Any ideas how to fix it?
sounds like your GFX driver is causing the issue. I would update to the latest beta driver if running NVidia or the latest amd driver if your using that.
Also if that doesn't work, have you tried verifying game files? I am sure its the GFX driver but it may be missing a Texture on the download. If you do not know how to Verify game files in steam . you simply right click on the game in your steam library hit properties. Under the Local files tab you will see a option to [ Verify the integrity of the game cache ] this will scan the game for any missing files. If you still have issues let me know I can guide you from there.
That is a well known issue with the game You can try updating your Drivers as stated CRONKLLR and that should work. If not, there might be something wrong with the game install. Uninstall and reinstall the game and if that is still happening, contact the Dev team
The purple globe show up when a graphic card does not support transparency in texture mapping. This normally happen with older / limited graphic card (on board laptop FX) or older driver. What is your graphic card?
Anashel, looked up my laptop online via the Toshiba website. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite, Model number p745-s4102. The graphics card as written on the site is Mobile Intel HD Graphics 64 MB - 1696 MB shared graphics memory
